"everyday I'm shufflin"

Yeah. its may....
you know what that means!
My birthday!
i'm turning 21 soon! WHOO! ha.
Even though I will not be doing the typical 21 things, I think I can still celebrate it, just in a more responsible way. ;)
Life certainly has been transforming that's for sure. I mean a year ago I was preparing to move to Provo, UT. Last summer was incredible! I love everyone that I met, and miss them all! :) Being back in AZ, I will be experiencing the awesome 115 degree heat. I missed out on that last year, a long with the wicked monsoons. haha. But I'm anxious to see what my now age 21-Arizona summer will be like. hopefully some fun pictures will be popping up on here.
So far... I've had some pretty fun memories so I'm guessing its going to be yet again another fun summer! :)

Happy Birthday MOM!

So I am a slacker big time!! My mom's birthday was on Tuesday just so we're clear. I did a birthday Post for my Dad on his Birthday back in September and I knew I just had to do one for my mom. But because I'm a slacker on my Blog I failed to get it done on the correct day! haha. so here it is two days later...

My First Birthday!
Happy Birthday to my WONDERFUL mother! She is the greatest example to me. She is my best friend, I am grateful for the amazing communication we have. I love the fact that she is the first one that I want to tell all my giggly girly moments too, and I love that I can sit on the floor in her sewing room and talk for hours as she works on projects! I love that any experience I have she can relate it to a book she has read, she's a bit of a bookworm! haha. She truly is the best and I love her! :)

Not quite 27 Dresses

Tonight I played dress up...
On Saturday I will be at the annual Youth of the Year dinner for work. Some may know that I participated in this program all 4 years of high school, it was a fun thing to be apart of.

This Mission is to find a dress to wear for Saturday and this is what I had in my closet...

I wore this my first year of Youth of the Year and also on my first date.
(jr. year winter formal) My Mom made it from scratch. Its kind of crazy to say but this dress is actually clipped back...yep getting in shape DEFINITELY is starting to pay off! Lovin it!

This next dress I wore my Senior year winter formal. Got it at Good will for under $5. My mom altered it to be more modest. it was ultra long and a spaghetti strap. Pretty nice right?

The 3rd dress, I only wore my senior year at Youth of the year. its my favorite! Its a very full gown. Yet again my mom altered it to make it modest. Its originally a $500 dress, Goodwill...$10. Yeah, that's how I do it! :)

And last but not least...my bridesmaid dress. Fun memories in this dress. ha. Flat tires in Provo, Cold weather and mud at the temple. Plus being apart of my best friends special day! Perfect. :)

So, who knows what I'll wear on Saturday. Maybe go back to goodwill and see what I can find. if not...Which should I go with...hmm.

Influenza A

A subtype of H1N1...
Yes that's right Swine flu.
This is what the virus looks like under a microscope...Nasty! It all started Monday, the only person I remember seeing around me that was sick was one of my teens.

I believe I got a taste of Karma this week. haha. After teasing one of my teens for having a sore throat. Now you may think, "wow, Nichelle real mature!" but if you knew the kid you would too. He didn't take it personal, we tease each other all the time.

Anyways, that night I came hope and I had a tickle in the back of my throat, so I took some meds hoping it would go away. Tuesday came around and it was a rough day. I went to work only for 3 hrs, my voice was horrible! Chills all day, and on top of that the body aches were the worst! I had never felt so weak before in my life, I'm surprised that I was even able to drive to work! The only reason I went is because I had a deadline to make at work. Luckily my teens took pity on me and tended to my every need. We had soup and grilled cheese that night for our cooking class, at my request, and a couple of them had a rock, paper, scissors contest on who would make this meal for me! haha. it was cute.

Sleep was horrible Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday I was hit with the worst of it. I literally crawled out of bed and down the stairs. I couldn't breath and my body temperature changed drastically every hour. My parents finally told me to go to the doctor. Thank goodness I have health insurance again or else I would have been at IHS waiting for 8hrs. When I got to the doctor, and they tested me for step and the flu, it didn't take the expected 12 min for the results to come back. NOPE it took only 1 min. the doctor came back in quickly and said "You have influenza A"
The look on his face was, you better put yourself in a plastic bubble for the rest of the week, because this is serious. and once I left the office I already saw the nurses scrubbing down everything. YIKES!
Back at home, my mom was already cleaning everything. I quarantined myself to the couch, it's been a rough week.
Today I woke up and actually felt like I got a decent amount of sleep. On top of that the body aches are gone. but my throat is still out of commission. I finally had some contact with my family today, haha. I was able to hang out with my siblings for once. Of course they tried to make me laugh at every chance they got only because I coughed up an organ every time I did! hahaha.
But I will say that because I've been sick, I have been hydrated all week! plus I've lost like 5lbs. Chicken noodle soup, sprite, and cheese crisps have been the secret to this madness. haha.  The DVR has been put to good use as well, I've recorded a lot of movies. My family should thank me for that! haha.
Well, lets hope this passes ASAP. I miss work and my life. There is only so much of home I can take! haha.

"Are you DTS??"

SO...
 This is Eli and Lata...
and...
We're the 3 best friends that anybody could ever have...

--Feelin kind of blue today??? Don't worry, we'll be there to make it bright! haha.
--Haven't used your funny bone in awhile??? No need to worry! We'll fix that!
--Think your life is full of embarrassing moments??? I bet we can top that! (Well Lata might...) hahaha.

These girls! Keep me alive and going! NEVER a dull moment with them:
Do I care if people stare in disgust because we laugh too loud in a restaurant??
NOPE never with these two!
Do I care if people look weird at us while we sing at the top of our lungs in the middle of a mall???
NOPE never with these two! haha.

Many memories, laughs, jokes with these two. Eli and Lata my hero's in disguise! :]

(Keep tabs on my FB status to find out if your DTS...)
